acommodation in a berlin hostel


since 1995 many hostels opened in berlin.
there is about 30 real hostels and a lot of pensions and hotels which call themselves hostel too

Due to this still growing number there's a lot of competition that pushes the standards pretty high
and keeps prices low.

Showers are always free and mostly hot, neither curfew nor lockout does exist,
24 hours reception is one of the basics..
..

most hostels have there own bar or at least some cold beers, good wines and a good jägermeister for sale.

citymaps are available, postcards, stamps, phone cards and many mor thinks that make backpacking easier..

since the opening of the 2nd Circus Hostel a new era in Room and Decor Standards has been established.


and thats where the

Heart of Gold Hostel

comes in, trying to bring the hotel-thing into the game.


wooden floor all over the hostel, dorms have the biggest windows ever, from left to right and from top to bottom..
even a 6-bedroom feels spacious and big, because it is bright and 3,40 m high..wow.

all bathrooms just feel lioke home, because you have on door to get in and inside, there is a shower to the left, providing hot water,
a wash basin straight forward and toilet to the right, behind another door..- the mirror is 1m by 1m, so you can see yourself..

Most double rooms and single rooms have there own shower and wash basin in the room, which creates a real private room...but for a nice price...

All doors are secured with a keycard system

, so you can never loose a key, or leave your door open by mistake.
Just you have can enter your room..

All rooms are

airconditioned

if needed. All rooms are none-smoking..

Everybody is suposed to stay in the Receptionarea to keep it quiet upstairs..

There is an elevator!!!



We have a laundry and a relax area where you hear your washing tumble, listen to some chill-out music, and take a nap..

There is a pool billard, a kicker(soccertable), we have chesterfield-sofas to hang out, there is a highspeed internet connection,
and terminals accesible all day...
